Are dogs allowed in the pub?

Yes, they are very welcome both indoors and in our beer gardens alike.

Is there a cash machine anywhere?

Yes, a cash machine is situated Inside the amusement arcades opposite the Boathouse.

Do I have to make a reservation?

We always keep plenty of tables aside for our walk-in guests, but if you are planning on coming with a bigger party, especially during the summer, we would recommend making a reservation to avoid disappointment. You can do so, HERE.

Where can I park?

There are two big council run car parks at Dawlish Warren; one either side of the bridge. These are both free after 6pm.

Where are the toilets?

Toilets inside the pub are situated on both floors, as well as disabled access loos and baby changing rooms. There are also public toilets and showers just past the shop as you walk towards the carpark.

What time do the other traders open?

The Warren Trading shop and the Boardwalk both open at 10am in the summer. The Pavilion amusements arcade also opens at 10am, and so does the Grand Prix Go Karts!

What are the requirements to ride the Go Karts?

Where is the nature reserve?

Through the car park or walk along the sea wall and follow the signs down into the nature reserve, about 10 minutes walk. The Centre is open most days from April to September and on weekends only from October to March.  There are guided walks / events for all ages throughout the year – ask a Ranger for details. Usual opening is 10:30am to 5pm (closed from 1-2pm for lunch). The centre is also closed when in use for groups or when Wardens are working on site.

Are there lifeguards on the beach?

RNLI lifeguards patrol Dawlish Warren beach during the heights of the season, to ensure everyone enjoy the sun and the sea safely. You can find more in-depth information regarding their patrol times here:

What is a blue flag beach?

Dawlish Warren is proud of its beach, as it has won the Blue Flag award to be a very safe beach for tourists. The beach stretches out to 1.5 miles with plenty of sand dunes. A perfect place for seaside fun, the beach is great for families to enjoy playing in the water knowing that the RNLI lifeguards are keeping an eye on safety.

When is the golf course open?

Dawlish Warren golf course opens from 7am to 7pm during the season. Please visit

Are dogs allowed on the beach?

Yes! During the summer months 1st April – 30th September walkers and dogs are very welcome to walk between Groyne 3 – 9. Please follow all the signs.
